As a last defensive manoeuvre in this bomber it is possible to trade some altitude for speed in order to escape from a threat, however keep it at a max speed of 610 km/h IAS since going faster than that will completely lock your surface controls and eventually get you killed. Although try to always keep it under 4,500 m as your engines aren't meant for high altitudes, and you will become a big and sluggish target for any fighter around. Your speed and climb ratio will be superior to most enemy bombers you face, therefore making it an easy task to intercept them. Considering you are just a Rank II aircraft you have a good acceleration and max speed, which will allow you to get out of difficult situations, even being able to outrun some lower BR fighters, although never forget to use your turrets to shake enemies off your tail. While flying the B-34 you can expect manoeuvrability and speed like few other bombers. With any luck he will fall out of the sky in no time. Do slight manoeuvres constantly to throw off his shots while trying to put as many shells into his engine/pilot as possible. Start with base/pillbox bombing, and should an enemy fighter come to engage, give him hell with your turrets. While its maximum payload and the ability to carry a torpedo is nice, it's not necessarily as good as its ability to take and give out damage to other aircraft. The B-34 is a typical American bomber in the sense that its decent payload is outdone by its defensive armament. It was introduced in Update 1.65 "Way of the Samurai". With a battle rating of 2.7 (AB/SB) and 3.3 (RB).

That said, I have to argue, and have long believed, that this was an avoidable tragedy. We’re watching this war from the comfort of our living rooms, and our hearts have to go out to the Ukrainian people who are taking all the punishment and are suffering as a result of this invasion. The full scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian armed forces was the maximalist expectation of what Putin might do, and I think is a reflection of his having, in recent months, decided that before he retires or leaves office, that he is going to solve the Ukrainian problem, as he defines it. Well, what we’re witnessing of course is a tragedy. George Breslauer: Thank you, Susan, and thank you for inviting me. Breslauer taught Russia under Putin as an encore course this winter, and in the spring term, he will teach an eight-week course called Great Leadership. In the Osher Institute’s winter term, Dr. He also has a recent book through Oxford Press that’s called The Rise and Demise of World Communism, which was published last year. He is the author and editor of 13 books on the USSR, the post-Soviet Russia and the evolution of communism around the world. Twelve of those years, he served as provost for the university. George Breslauer, who’s been a UC Berkeley professor since 1971. We will want to share that with the Ali membership at a future time, hopefully next week. He has prepared a five minute video talking about the liminal war that is likely to be ongoing. One of the people who is invited to speak today who could not join us is retired Rear Admiral Dr. If not, one of the things that we’ve been discussing within the staff is whether or not to hold a set of conversations later among the OLLI membership on the questions that will be emerging ongoingly. We’re going to look at those questions and try to aggregate them the best we can, so that if some information’s not touched upon, we do manage to get that area covered. We expect if we have time that the chat room will be full of your questions. Then, we will introduce a special guest today from the Congressional Office of International Relations, Jane Sargus, who will give a bit of a Washington perspective from her congressional office, which deals with the emerging leadership from the post-Soviet nations. They will also have questions of each other. Generally, what we do is we will have, or in this particular instance, we will have our two speakers both talk. We also know that our UC Berkeley News will be preparing a podcast of this conversation. We’re interested in continuing the dialogue. We’d like to mention that this particular video will be posted sometime shortly with captions and available for you to forward to friends and colleagues. I’m very glad that you could join us today. Susan Hoffman: I’d like to welcome everyone to today’s talk that we’ve called “Power Play: Russia and Ukraine.” I’m Susan Hoffman, the director of UC Berkeley’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. New episodes come out every other Friday. You can subscribe on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Acast or wherever you listen. Intro: This is Berkeley Talks, a Berkeley News podcast from the Office of Communications and Public Affairs that features lectures and conversations at UC Berkeley. Listen to Berkeley Talks episode #135: ‘UC Berkeley experts on the invasion of Ukraine.’ Paul uses an image of light and darkness to contrast the destructive patterns versus the life-given patterns. That’s what Paul talks about in the section of Ephesians that we skipped over. Anything that is healthy grows, and anything that grows is going to struggle and experience pain to do so. Or they think there is no such thing as right and wrong, so they just keep doing harmful things or letting harmful things happen to them. Either they have given in to fate and think they can’t change their situation, Life just is what it is and there is nothing you can do about it. One reason that some people stay stuck in dark places and continue to repeat unhealthy patterns is because they don’t think anything is wrong. I want to highlight four observations I make about how to Stand Strong. I invite you to take your Bibles and turn to Ephesians chapter 6, verse 10. Today we are going to look at this last section of Ephesians and talk about how to stand strong in the Lord in this battle that we are in. The battle is real, it is scary, and it is all spiritual. These are the very real struggles that we face every day. This is just as big and dangerous as impending war. Then there was an article about the tension between parents and teens regarding freedom, privacy and safety on Social media. At the macro level we see the Trouble in Syria. This morning I did an experiment and checked the headlines. Or, it might be an external struggle with forces that seem to be working against you that are outside of your control. It might be an internal battle with thoughts and feelings that are tearing you apart inside. No, we tell stories about zombies and vampires as way to explore the world of the spiritual, but the real spiritual battle is much more real than that.Įveryone of us has a struggle going on and that struggle is spiritual. “For our struggle is not against enemies of blood and flesh, but…against spiritual forces of evil.”ĭoes that mean that we, as Christians, are called to battle zombies and vampires? On the other hand, every human being has this deep sense that there is something more than being just a random combination of chemicals.ĭeep down inside we know that Paul’s words in Ephesians 6 are true. On the one side they are told in school that you can’t discuss religion in public, Christianity is the “old way of thinking about things,” and there is not such a thing as the “supernatural.” Everything can be explained with math and science. There are many reasons, but one of them has to do with the fact that our younger generations have been put in a bind. Why do you think we have such a fascination with the supernatural? Every episode they face some new paranormal creature and battle against it. It’s about two brothers who are monster hunters. My son has recently been watching a show called Supernatural. Check out the young adult section of the book store and you’ll see Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. There are zombie movies–like World War Z–but zombies have even made it into classical literature. Have you noticed how zombies seem to show up everywhere in our popular culture these days. You may also want to hear this sermon on the same passage. By doing this with the Trick Blood Money Perk, you can turn the Emerald Tablet into a great health generation method. One great tip for this perk is you can throw Emerald Tablets and other physics objects at enemies, which always generates double gold. This will cause hundreds of gold blood money to drop and will heal quite a bit of your health. While it may not be the best early game, it can easily stack if you’re visiting many parallel worlds. Trick Blood Moneyĭespite what some people may say about this perk, trick blood money is great because it synergizes well with Trick Greed, which doubles the amount of gold and health you get from accidental kills. This perk relies on you being able to find new wands, and can be a good perk to grab if you’re finding yourself low on health. You can fire the wand a total of 7 times with diminishing heal increases each click, which heals you a total of 69 health. Wand Experimenter is another decent perk that lets you heal by firing wands you’ve never used before. You can stack this with the More Blood Perk for potentially unlimited heals, though you’ll be spending an awful long time sitting there slurping up that delicious red juice. It can work very well by keeping you alive early game, but the more health you have the longer it’ll take to heal. Vampirism is a decent perk that drops for health by 25%, but allows you to drink blood for health. If you have amazing wands already and you’re not planning a long run, maybe, but it’ll do much more harm than good. While it is a way to heal, the downside is never worth it. The healing aspect comes by the perk giving enemies a chance to drop blood money, which is red gold that heals you. The entire point of Noita is to build powerful wands, and this perk completely stops you from editing them. Not gonna lie, this is probably the worst perk in the entire game. Some of these will dramatically hinder your run, while others will enable you to stay alive for much longer. The first category of healing is Perk Based Healing, meaning you have to get a specific perk to use them. This guide will have massive spoilers in it, so only continue if you don’t mind seeing spoilers. For this guide, I’ll be breaking down everything into categories so that it’s easier to follow. There are actually quite a few ways to heal yourself, though some of these methods are quite hard to do. Once you master the secrets of healing, you’re able to extend the length of your runs and win much more often. The main reason, though, is because there are so many possible ways to get hurt.īecause of that, healing is an extremely important thing to have during your runs. One reason for that is that the game never tells you anything besides basic movement controls. Noita is probably one of the most unforgiving games ever. They also specifically concentrate on a monument, like the “Veduta del Ponte Salario,” or ruin instead of portraying a sweeping view of Roman landscape. His later views featured heavier line, a sublime eye, and more dramatic perspectives. As represented in the “Veduta della Piazza della Rotonda,” Piranesi, clearly contorting perspective, etched an exaggerated and extended view of the Rotonda, unfocused on a specific aspect of the scene. The little figures present at the ground level are the everyday people and visitors in contemporary Rome. In his first views, the monument or subject was drawn from a distance so that it was clearly set in its context. The first thirty-four views were published in a single volume and entitled Le Magnificenze di Roma. His early sites include obvious popular sights, such as Piazza della Rotonda and the Sepolcro di Cecilia Metella. 39 The views were intended as tourist souvenirs and, from their instant popularity, Piranesi had obviously judged the market well. This influenced European thought to such an extent that Grand Tourists, who had come to know Rome through Piranesi’s prints, were recorded as being disappointed on their first encounter with the real thing. Piranesi’s Vedute, which overshadowed competitor’s views of Roman landmarks through compelling compositions, strong lighting contrasts, and dramatic presentation, shaped European conceptions of present day Rome. Giovanni Battista Piranesi, Veduta del Ponte Salario (View of the Ponte Salario), plate 55 from the series "Vedute di Roma" (Views of Rome), 1754, etching (Davis Museum)īy 1747, Piranesi had begun work on the Vedute di Roma, and he continued to create plates for this series until he died in 1778. You might also want to consider stepping up to the Series 5000 Bodygroomer. Still, Philips is rightly proud of the 3000's build quality and this puppy is guaranteed for two years, with the brand claiming that the blades will never need oiling. You get what you pay for, and admittedly, during our review we found the comb attachments for keeping hair trimmed to various lengths are way more fiddly and annoying than the 7000 Series' built-in trimmer. The rounded tips and hypoallergenic foil are designed to be safe and comfortable for the underarms, chest and abs, back and shoulders, groin area and legs.įor most, the handle is quite long enough to reach tricky back patches (but see the Series 5000 below, should you need more) and the waterproof design means it is possible to go about your shaving routine in the shower. As a result, the bi-directional trimmers cut longer hairs, which are shaved by the foil for a closer result. This is predominantly down to the clever rotating head design, which features a central foil and additional trimmers located at each end. It feels very similar to the range-topping 7000 Series. Now, on to the best body groomers of 2023! Best body groomers for men 2023 rankingĪnother neat little device from manscaping pioneer Philips, this has a lot going for it, chiefly the excellent blade system that manages to deliver a smooth shave where others can snag and cause dreaded razor rash. I've found that pricier models tend to have larger batteries, cutting the amount of time spent charging, as well as electronically adjustable heads and blades that have been specifically designed with maximum comfort in mind, so less annoying nicks and cuts in delicate areas. It's a chore that many can't live without, and that's where this fine range of the best body groomers, shavers and best manscaping groomers comes in.Ī good men's body groomer doesn't cost a fortune, but like anything in life, if you spend a little extra you get a little bit more. For this reason, they can be considered to be orphic media with the capacity to build listening spaces that can function as sound asylums. The alleged effectiveness of this kind of content comes from these subjectivities and from the audio characteristics that enable these videos to mask other sounds. The main argument is that this kind of content is the result of shared and distributed subjectivities constructed from the relationship between users, content, and producers. I also analyze the role of this type of content in the construction of listening spaces suitable for the activity of sleeping and look at why the same kind of compositions and genres of music are likewise recommended for other activities such as reading, working, or studying. In this article, I examine YouTube as a source of sound, music, and other audiovisual content that aims to help people fall asleep. Some of this content is also intended to help people study, work, or read, as indicated by the titles, descriptions, and tags that accompany the compositions. On YouTube, users share playlists and original compositions to promote sleepiness and relaxation and help people to get a good night’s sleep. Some people need total silence, whereas others need the presence of specifi c sounds to fall asleep and enjoy a restful night. Sleeping is a basic need, but all persons have their own unique way of doing it. |
